Snow...UHHHHH Guess Again

Folks South Central Kentucky has been noticing a defecit lately in the white stuff that has fallen and don't expect much when this little clipper system is coming through tomorrow morning.

The showers will come but might just leave a quick dusting, that is all and WE WILL have SCHOOL. You heard it from me and just enjoy the winter wonderland, becuase the groundhog said so...still 6 more weeks left of winter.

But a small warm-up is on tap for the late week and might see a 50 or two coming up.

Upcoming Winter Storm-- Snow and Craziness

Folks,
If you think that last week was a wicked storm with ice/snow and cold temperatures, wait for this monster.
Okay here is the synopsis: An area of Low Pressure will form out of the Gulf of Mexico will ride along the Jet Stream in the east coast by the beginning of the weekend. This system will contain more juice with more of a wind pressure gradient causing a possible blizzard of where it will strike.
For Bowling Green to get a large SNOW, this area of Low Pressure MUST travel west of the Appalachian Mtns. If it does, expect near white out conditions with winds over 25 miles per hour and snowfall rates up to an 1"/hour. The City of Bowling Green will be under in its largest snowfall spectacle in recent memory. The cold air is already in place and will thrive their for the time being.
But this will likely to change, as of right now, the storm track is expected to be the east of the Appalachians and the Blizzard will ride along the Mid-Atlantic and NorthEast with great ferocity. With this in place, expect Bowling Green now to see only an inch or maybe 2".

But here is a moisture content of how much precipitation can fall. Remember 1" of rain can = to 10" of snow..
